Privacy policy
This site is run by David Lopez, an independent SEO and digital marketing practitioner based in Melbourne, Australia. It is a portfolio. It sells nothing, it has no accounts to log into, and it collects no information about you unless you choose to send me a message.
What the contact form collects
The contact form is the only place this site asks for anything. When you submit it, these fields are sent to me:
- Your name and email address, both required, so I can reply.
- Company and the role you are hiring for, both optional.
- Your message.
The email that reaches me also carries your IP address and the date and time you submitted the form, added automatically by the form software. That is standard for contact forms and it exists so that abuse can be traced.
The form asks you to answer a simple arithmetic question before it will send. That is a spam check. It runs on this site, it is not a third-party service, and it does not profile you.
Where it goes and how long it is kept
Submissions are emailed to david@dlosolutions.com and are not stored in this website’s database. What you send lives in my email account.
I keep enquiries while a conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case it resumes. Where a message leads nowhere, I delete it once it is clear that it has not. If you would rather I delete yours sooner, ask and I will.
What this site does not do
It runs no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no advertising pixel and no session recording. Nobody is measuring which pages you read.
It sets no tracking cookies. An ordinary visit to this site puts nothing on your device.
I do not sell, rent or share what you send me. There is no mailing list to be added to, and I will not add you to one.
Things outside my control
My web host keeps standard server logs, which record requests to the site including IP addresses, in the ordinary way that every web server does. That is a technical and security necessity rather than a marketing activity.
This site links out to other sites, including LinkedIn and various documentation and industry publications. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, under their privacy policy rather than this one.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act you can ask me what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, and ask me to delete it. Email david@dlosolutions.com and I will action it.
If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection apply to the same information, and the same email address is the way to exercise them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. There is no version history worth keeping for a document this short: what is on this page is what applies.
