Briefs, research, drafting, and rewriting the draft that missed. I work across all of it, on my own copy and alongside other writers on theirs.
Since 2024 that has meant writing for answer engines as well as for search results. I hold 12 Anthropic certifications and use them on the research and the drafting. What ships is written rather than generated.

GEO PAGES
Milone's Tree Solutions: copy rewrite and automated location pages
470 geo-targeted location pages, 452 generated by a system I built and 18 council pages written by hand, published across a staggered three-month rollout. Over the six months that followed, organic keywords rose 2.1x and top-ten rankings 2.1x. Third-party estimates.

ORGANIC CLICKS A MONTH
A managed IT site rebuilt around services, not vendor products
A multi-location managed IT provider had its services spread across four product-led areas, with the same product filed in two of them. I led the migration onto service categories, wrote the new service page copy, and set the pillar and cluster content strategy that ran alongside it.

END TO END
CONTENT PROGRAMME
Writing the content programme for an audio visual hire company
An audio visual and event hire company needed content that supported the pages it actually sells from: video wall hire, stage hire, audio hire, touch screens. I ran the content programme end to end, from the ideas list through to the published copy.
I wrote six pieces, around 4,800 words. Five were articles, on immersive stage hire, hosting a virtual event people stay awake through, LED video walls for exhibitions and gala nights, getting AV hire quoted quickly and accurately, and why event creative makes an impression. The sixth was a rewrite of the hybrid events service page.
Each one carried its own keyword brief in the document, primary term and supporting terms together, so the piece was written against a target rather than fitted to one afterwards. The topics came from a content ideation document I put together for the client, and sat inside a six-month SEO and paid search roadmap covering crawl audits, keyword gap analysis, sitemap structure, link building and a content calendar.
I am not attaching a traffic number to this one. Four monthly reports survive, the numbers in them peak in the middle and fall by the end, and the pages that rank across all of them are the service pages rather than the articles. Supporting content feeding the pages that sell is exactly what this programme was for, but I cannot show that it did, so I am not claiming it. What I can show is the work.
